our young Grenadiers of the National Men's U-17 (Group A), arrived the day before, could not hope better to start this Caribbean tournament by winning the victory against the Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago (host country) [2- 0].

The soca warriors have seriously disrupted the young protected of James Morisset from the beginning of the first period, avoiding a goal in the 6th minute.

The protected of tendem "James Morisset, Paulin Jean" regained confidence by stimulating the defense until find the opening score by Nael Élysée with a shot along the ground, in the 22nd minute [1-0].

After the break our young Grenadiers have shown unfailing determination, but lacked a first golden opportunity to double the lead to the 6th minutes. The Trinidadians have put vainly the turbo, but the Haitian defense remained impenetrable, even after 6 minutes of additional time.

In a conference after the match, coach James Morisset greeted Trinidad team for the quality of its opposition and praised his boys for this victory despite difficult conditions in which they had traveled the day before.
